It's recommended to service your car at least once every year to keep it running smoothly. During this session, you will learn how to:

• Perform an oil and filter change

• Replace air filter

• Replace spark plugs

• Replace fuel filter

• Change engine coolant

• Change transmission fluid

Brakes have a number of components designed to stop a vehicle quickly and safely. During this session you will learn how:

• The hydraulic braking system works

• The anti-lock braking system works (ABS)

• To change brake discs and pads

• To repair faulty calipers

• To perform a brake fluid change

• To replace and adjust handbrake cables

The suspension system's primary function is to maximize the performance of a vehicle. It absorbs bumps in the road and ensures stability during cornering. This session will teach you to:

• Recognise the different components and setups of a suspension system

• Replace coil springs

• Replace shock absorbers

• Replace bushes and control arms

• Replace drop links

The exhaust removes gases from the combustion chamber, reduces noise and removes harmful substances. During this session, you will learn:

• The exhausts function and how it operates

• Types of exhaust structures

• How increasing/decreasing exhaust flow affects power and emissions

• Removal and fitting of exhaust components

Body panels affect aerodynamics and downforce as well as creating an aesthetically pleasing look. These can be altered to give a better appearance or for improving aerodynamics. During this session you will learn how to:

• Replace bumpers, wings and spoilers

• Mix and apply body filler

• Prepare panels for welding and painting

Welding is a process which bonds two parting materials together to make one piece. Vehicles make use of MIG welding and spot welding on various sections. During this session you will learn:

• The different welding methods used on vehicles

• How to repair sills

• How to repair holes in body work

• How to replace welded panels

By definition, a modification is anything which changes or alters the vehicle from the manufacturers specifications. There are many types of modifications that can be made depending on the desired results, whether that's show, race, drag, drift or lowered. During these sessions you will learn:

• Different modifying styles

• How modifications affect vehicle performance

• How to make a range of modifications including brakes, engine, exhaust, suspension and more

Road safety is important for all road users, including yourself. Breaking the speed limit, driving without due care and attention and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs can cause accidents and even death. Periodically, Humberside Police visit us to give talks on road safety and why it is important to follow the rules of the road as well as highlighting the consequences of reckless driving.
